Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on 7 December th, 1963 in Edo State, Nigeria, grew up in a family of faith, surrounded by loving and loving parents. He was the oldest of four children of the elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina the matriarch of the Oyakhilome family, who imparted her divine grace on her son from a young age.

Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters: Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. She is a gifted gospel singer who has won awards and is part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was educated at Edo College. He then received a scholarship to study architecture in Bendel State University. Additionally, he holds an honorary doctorate degree in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. While attending Ambrose Ali University, he was prompted by God to enter into the ministry and to be a servant to the Lord.

The Man of God who was still in university, began what would become one the most significant churches in the entire world. A small prayer group named Youth for Christ’ was formed. Pastor Chris led the LoveWorld ministry to become a pioneer in satellite television and Christian production and programming on television. LoveWorldSAT is the first Christian TV station to broadcast from Africa, 24 hours a day, on free-to air networks. In the present, LoveWorld television stations are available on cable and satellite networks across the globe.

Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris's homeland of Nigeria as well as South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. The church operates two Healing Schools located in South Africa and Canada, where Pastor Chris organizes seasonal sessions during which miraculous events are witnessed.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a zealous donor who established the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation (COFI) a nonprofit, nongovernmental organisation with the aim of helping the most disadvantaged people and communities in some the most deprived regions and countries of the globe.

The Man, God, has founded NGOs with the mission to provide essential aid and provide hope.  Chris Oyakhilome COFI is a partnership with five other organizations that have a common goal of raising living standards in the most underdeveloped areas.

Under the auspices of COFI are COFI's InnerCity Mission (ICM) for children as well as the Volunteer Medical Corps (VMC), Trauma Care International Foundation (TCIF), Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF) as well as the Bible For All Mission. Each of these organizations works to improve the lives of people, health, spirits, and well-being.

The charity also provides food to children in need. Pastor Chris believes in empowering communities through COFI and The InnerCity Mission.
